Mt 21.1-9 pericope exegesis using intertextual perspective and reception theory

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of intertextuality in the context of biblical studies, specifically focusing on the exegesis of the passage Matthew 21:1-9. It consists of two main parts. The first part describes the term "intertextuality" itself, its origin, various interpretations by different authors, and its application in biblical studies. The issue of intertextuality is comparatively demonstrated using the presented types of intertextuality and their intricacies. Chapters 1 and 2 cover this part. The second part focuses on a specific exegesis of Matthew's passage 21:1-9. This part is described in Chapter 3. Through biblical exegesis, the intertextual relationships between the Old and New Testaments are outlined, utilizing specific biblical passages for this ad hoc purpose. My intention is to demonstrate through the interpretation of these biblical passages how the author of the Gospel of Matthew attempts to convince his readers about Jesus's messianism in a particular manner, employing afformentioned intertextual methods.

The first part outlines the intertextuality, theory of the novel and the approaches of some literary theorists towards this issue. The second half of the thesis analyzes the intertextuality in Kundera's works in various forms, mainly based on the themes of dreams and physicality. The greatest emphasis is placed on examining the legacy of Kafka in the context of Kundera's works, particularly in the novels The Joke and The Book of Laughter and Forgetting. Thesis Intertextuality in the work of Milan Kundera deals with intertextuality facets in his novels theoretically and practically. This work deals with the text and the relations between one and other - with intertextuality and with novel genre theories. I work with four important theorist, Michail Bachtin, Julia Kristeva, Gerard Genette and Roland Barthes. I examine their concepts of polyphony or Socratic dialogue and apply them on Kundera. The beginnings of intertextuality - breaking the boundaries of the boundlessness

1 Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of intertextuality as the change of view of text and opening his imaginary boundaries, especially in the context of establishing this concept. The first part describes Bakhtin's concept of the polyphony and the dialogism understood as the initial impulse from which intertextuality subsequently develops. The second part deals with the development of intertextuality by Julia Kristeva and its subsequent extension to society-wide cultural space. Third part is an overview of subsequently established conceptions. Based on the foregoing the idea of text which appears as a central and crucial for intertextuality itself is then in the final section revised in relation to particular conceptions of intertextuality.
